INVICTUS

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

If you want something bad enough to go out and fight for it. To work day and night for it. To give up your time, your peace and sleep for it. And all that you dream and scheme is about it. And life seems useless and worthless without it. And if you gladly sweat for it and fret for it and plan for it. And lose all your terror of the opposition for it. And if you simply go after that thing that you want with all of your capacity, strength and sagacity. Faith, hope, and confidence and stern for tenacity. If neither cold poverty, famish, or cold sickness or pain of body and brain can keep you away from that thing that you want!!! If darker than grim, you besiege and beset it, with the help of God you’ll get it!!!!

Everything that exists was nothing but a thought in the mind of some individual at some point of time that literally moved into form.  So the car that you drove to work today was at one point of time just a thought.  The chair that you’re sitting on was once a thought.  And this building I’m standing in was just a thought at some point.  So you see, everything that results in our material universe began with a thought.  And thought-energy is Spirit.  Likewise, the image that you inspire to be or become is the thought-energy or Spirit that creates your physical environment now.  St. Paul once said “That which is seen hath not come from that which doth appear”. We must learn to have wisdom in the unknown.  That’s where your true power and reality resides.  To begin to ’see’ the unknown, we must “Understand that there is always a Correspondence between the various planes of Being and Life.”

In fact, there is a Principle Rule of Correspondence that exists in the world. It works just as the knowledge of the Principle Rules of Geometry enables man to measure distant suns and their movements, while seated in his observatory, so a knowledge of the Rule of Correspondence enables Man to reason intelligently from the Known to the Unknown by simply observing his material world. Studying the monad, he understands the archangel.

I get discouraged now and then
